Maharashtra Elections: Before the election results, rumblings of ‘resort politics’ started, Sanjay Raut said – victorious MLAs will be kept in hotels.

Ahead of the election results on November 23 in Maharashtra, ‘resort politics’ is once again seen making an entry. On Friday, Shiv Sena leader (Uddhav faction) Sanjay Raut surprised everyone when he said that after the decision, all the victorious MLAs will be accommodated together in a hotel in Mumbai. Raut said that Mahavikas Aghadi will form the government by winning 160 seats in the 242-member Maharashtra Assembly. Raut said that the decision was taken to keep his MLAs away from ‘Khokha vendors’. At the same time, Shinde faction Shiv Sena is also leaving no stone unturned regarding the MLAs and has decided to try to keep all the MLAs united by bringing them to Mumbai through helicopter.

Along with this, on the speculations about the CM face from Maha Vikas Aghadi, Raut said that no formula has been made yet for the selection of the CM face, everyone will sit together and select the Chief Minister. He said that Aghadi will take decisions unanimously and Sharad Pawar, Congress and Uddhav Thackeray will play equal roles in deciding the chief ministerial face from Maha Vikas Aghadi.

Congress appointed observers

Congress has appointed observers in Maharashtra in view of the assembly results. Congress announced the observers through a press release. Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot, former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel and Dr. G Parameshwara have been included in the observer team.

This is the first assembly election in Maharashtra after the split between Shiv Sena and NCP. Counting of votes is to take place on November 23. Meanwhile, most exit polls suggest that the grand alliance of BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP will return to power, while the MVA comprising Congress, NCP (SP) and Shiv Sena (UBT) will do well but fall short of a majority.
