Mumbai, March 16 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its candidates for the upcoming by -election of Maharashtra Legislative Council. The list includes the names of Sandeep Diwakrao Joshi, Sanjay Kishanrao Kanekar and Dadarao Yadavrao Kache.
National General Secretary Arun released a press release giving information about this. It said that the Central Election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party has approved the following names for the Legislative Council by -election to be held in Maharashtra.
Earlier, the Election Commission had announced a by -election in five vacant seats of the Legislative Council on 27 March. The Election Commission said that the by -election will be held on March 27 in five seats of the Legislative Council and the counting of votes will start from 5 pm. According to the Election Commission, voting will be held on March 27 from 9 am to 4 pm.
The Election Commission issued a notification on 10 March. The last date for nomination is till March 17. Nomination papers will be examined on 18 March and candidates can withdraw their names by 20 March.
Explain that elections are required due to the victory of five MLC in the assembly elections.
Meanwhile, NCP leader Ajit Pawar has called a meeting of his party regarding the Legislative Council by -election. Ajit Pawar will meet at the Deagiri bungalow in Mumbai, Ajit Pawar at one o’clock this afternoon. In this meeting, the name of the candidate for the Legislative Council by -election will be discussed.
Let us tell you that in the equation of Mahayuti seat sharing, a seat has come in the account of NCP. Many party leaders have expressed their desire for this one seat, but three names are in the race. These include the names of Jishan Siddiqui, Umesh Patil and Sanjay Daund.
