It is believed that Fadnavis will take oath as CM on December 5. According to the information received from the sources, BJP Legislative Party meeting is going to be held on December 4 and in this meeting, Devendra Fadnavis will be elected the leader of the Legislative Party and he will face Eknath Shinde of Shiv Sena Shinde faction of Mahayuti alliance and Ajit Pawar of NCP Ajit Pawar faction. Will meet and after that will go to Raj Bhavan and submit the letter for government formation to the Governor. After this, the swearing-in ceremony will be organized on December 5. It is believed that Fadnavis will have two deputy CMs, one of whom could be Ajit Pawar and the other could be Eknath Shinde or any other leader from his party.

BJP close to majority on its own
Maharashtra Assembly elections were held on 20 November and its results were declared on 23 November. Out of the total 288 seats in the Assembly, the Mahayuti alliance had won 230 seats. In that, BJP got 132 seats while Shiv Sena got 57 seats and NCP Ajit faction got 41 seats. In such a situation, BJP needs only 13 seats to form the government on its own.
