Maharashtra Election 2024 : This time in the Maharashtra assembly elections, a tough contest is being expected between the ruling Mahayuti and the Mahavikas Aghadi Alliance (MVA). Both the camps have used their full strength to win the battle for power. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has made a big prediction. He said that after the election results, there will be a very interesting situation in Maharashtra. However, he expressed hope that BJP government will be formed in Maharashtra and Devendra Fadnavis will be the next Chief Minister of the state. He said that the presence of BJP government clearly means that Mahayuti will be in power in the state.
Fadnavis will become CM with our support
The MNS leader said that looking at the political situation in Maharashtra, no one can say what will be the outcome of the assembly elections. If you visit different areas of Maharashtra, you can get some picture. He said that now it is just a matter of a few days and everything will be revealed to everyone. During an interview, Raj Thackeray said that there are indications that BJP will emerge very powerful and Devendra Fadnavis will be the next Chief Minister of the state.
When asked what will ultimately be the equation of power in Maharashtra, Raj Thackeray said that nothing can be said clearly in this time’s assembly elections but it is certain that we will be in the role of kingmaker. The Chief Minister will be from BJP and he will be made with our support. The meaning of Raj Thackeray’s statement is clear that he sees the possibility of MNS winning many seats in this assembly elections.
Claims good relations with BJP
The MNS chief praised BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis and called him a capable leader. He said that for this reason I guess that Devendra Fadnavis will become the Chief Minister of the state in the new government. However, three parties are involved in the Grand Alliance and senior leaders of these parties have to decide who will become the Chief Minister. He said that Fadnavis has a deep understanding of all the matters related to Maharashtra and under his leadership all the problems of the state can be solved.
Clarifying his relations with BJP, Raj Thackeray said that if I am associated with any party, it is BJP only. I have a close relationship with leaders like Pramod Mahajan, Gopinath Munde and Nitin Gadkari. I have got a chance to work with these leaders. He said that I never felt bonding like BJP with NCP or Congress.
Raj Thackeray’s son is also contesting elections
Earlier in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, there was a possibility of MNS also joining the Mahayuti alliance but ultimately the coordination of seats could not happen. Now MNS has fielded its candidates on all the seats in the state. Raj Thackeray himself is not contesting the elections but he has fielded his son from Mahim assembly seat of Mumbai. It is because of his relations with BJP that Fadnavis had talked about supporting his son despite Shinde Sena contesting the elections.
