Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted people on the occasion of Mahashivaratri and wished the prosperity and good health of the people. President Draupadi Murmu greeted the countrymen on the occasion of Mahashivaratri.

President Murmu, while wishing, prayed to God to be kind to everyone and India’s continuous progress. He wished Mahadev’s grace on all citizens.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also greeted the people and prayed for the welfare of all.
Shah tweeted, “Har-har Shiva! Heartfelt greetings to all the countrymen on the holy festival of Mahashivaratri. This festival of union of Shiva and Shakti is a great festival of spirituality, self-determination and faith. I pray to Devadhidev Mahadev for the welfare of everyone. Am.”
The first Amrit bath of Paush Purnima took place on 13 January, followed by Makar Sankranti on Makar Sankranti, on Mauni Amavasya on 29 January, Basant Panchami on 3 February, Maghi Purnima on 12 February and last bath on 26 February on Maha Shivaratri.
Many akharas participated in the Mahakumbh, including Niranjani Akhara, Call Akhara and Juna Akhara, the largest arena of the Saints tradition. The akhadas play an important role in the royal bath. Akhara is a religious organizations of sadhus associated with various sects including Shaiva, Vaishnav and sadness. Every arena has its own head, which is called ‘Mahamandaleshwar’.
In view of the large number of devotees coming to Mahakumbh, Prayagraj district administration has deployed additional force and has ensured better coordination with railway and airport officials for better management.
