Mumbai, November 28 (IANS). The market of political speculation is hot regarding the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena MLA Vishwanath Bhoir has credited the leadership of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for the landslide victory of the Mahayuti alliance in the Maharashtra Assembly elections.
He said that the seats won by Mahayuti are the result of Shinde’s leadership. In such a situation, he should become the CM of Maharashtra twice. The major schemes launched by the Shinde government have received widespread support from the public. The public has especially benefited from the Marathwada Water Grid Project. Our double engine government has done commendable work towards fulfilling the basic needs of the people.
He said that due to the all-round development of the state, Mahayuti has got great success in the elections. In such a situation, I believe that Eknath Shinde should lead the new government. Seeing the way Mahayuti has gained seats in Maharashtra Assembly and all the MLAs have been elected from Mahayuti, Eknath Shinde should be appointed CM again.
On Tuesday, Shinde resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Maharashtra, days after Mahayuti’s historic victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The tenure of the current assembly ended on 26 November.
Maharashtra’s acting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said this while addressing a press conference on Wednesday, “I have spoken to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I told him that there is no hindrance from our side in forming the government. You take the decision, the BJP will take the final decision.” That decision will be implemented. ‘Mahayuti’ alliance has got a huge majority in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. BJP, which is part of the grand alliance, has won 132 seats, Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena has won 57 seats and Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has won 41 seats.
Whereas Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), included in Maha Vikas Aghadi, has won maximum 20 seats. Congress has won 16 seats and Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) has won 10 seats. Samajwadi Party has won two seats, while others have won 10 seats.
