New Delhi, 28 February (IANS). Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) Vinay Kumar Saxena has reshuffled the administrative level in the Delhi government. Many IAS officers have been transferred and new appointments. Also, major changes have been made in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). In this regard, Deputy Secretary (Services) Bhairab Dutt has issued instructions on behalf of the government.
Azimul Haque, a 2007 batch IAS officer, will now take over as the CEO of the Delhi Waqf Board. Dr. Madhu Rani Tewatia, a 2008 batch IAS officer, has been made the secretary of the Chief Minister. At the same time, Sandeep Kumar Singh, IAS officer of 2011 batch, has been given the responsibility of Special Secretary to the Chief Minister. Along with this, 2011 batch IAS officer Ravi Jha has been removed from the Excise Commissioner and he has also been made Special Secretary to the Chief Minister. Sachin Rana, an IAS officer of 2014 batch, will continue as Additional Chief Electoral Officer, as well as the additional charge of the member (administration) of the Delhi Jal Board.
Let us know that by winning a wonderful victory in the Delhi Assembly elections held on 5 February 2025, the BJP has formed a new government in Delhi. BJP has made Rekha Gupta the Chief Minister of Delhi. Dr. Madhu Rani Tewatia, IAS officer of 2008 batch, has been appointed as the Secretary of CM Rekha Gupta. Madhu Rani Tewatiya is counted as a fiery, serious and honest IAS officer.
Significantly, in the elections, out of 70 assembly seats in Delhi, BJP won 48 seats. Whereas, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won 22 seats.
