Malaiyarasan d: Born on the rich earth of Tamil Nadu and grew up, Malayarasana D’s life has been deeply associated with the roots of Tamil society, its problems and its aspirations. Malayarasan D, who started his life as a farmer, is today a member of the Lok Sabha, the highest democratic institution in the country. As a candidate for the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party from Kallakurichi Lok Sabha constituency, he won the 2024 general election with an overwhelming majority and took the initiative to convey the voice of the people to Parliament.
Malayarasan D is currently representing the Kallakurichi parliamentary constituency of Tamil Nadu in the 18th Lok Sabha. He is a member of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party and has been working as a Member of Parliament since 9 June 2024.
Apart from this, he is also a member of the Energy Standing Committee of Lok Sabha. Where they participate in discussions and recommendations on issues related to energy sector.
Early life and family background
Malayarasan D was born on 30 May 1975 in a normal farmer family in Sirunagalore village in Tamil Nadu. Due to which he got a deep concern with rural life, agriculture problems and the ground truths of the society. His father’s name is Devrasu and mother’s name is Dhankodi.
Despite coming from a simple background, Malayarasan D made his talent ironed on the strength of remarkable achievements in the field of education.
Education
Malayarasan D received an M.Com degree from Annamalai University. In which his special trend was in banking and insurance management. This education not only proved to be helpful in keeping him better understanding of financial and economic matters, but also helped him to make a strong voice in the management of policy making and public resources in Parliament.

Malayarasan D married peacefully on 19 June 1994. He is the father of three daughters. His family life is balanced and full of social values, which also shows this in his political outlook.
Profession and social engagement
Malayarasan D was a full -time farmer before entering politics. Their association with agriculture remains even today and this gives them a living experience of problems in rural areas. On 26 September 2024, he was appointed a member of the Energy Committee. He has special interest in improving the energy sector, sustainable development and promoting green energy. The issues raised by him in Parliament include water crisis, minimum support price for farmers, rural education, health facilities and self -employment schemes for youth.
His language style is strict and impressive in which the dignity and modern thinking of Tamil culture is seen.
Social interest
Malayarasan dees actively participate in social work. He has run education and health awareness programs in Sirunagalur and nearby villages. He has taken many initiatives especially for the education of girls.
They are strong supporters of environmental protection, women empowerment and social justice. Their efforts have improved the drinking water system in many villages. Farmers have received irrigation resources and basic facilities have been provided to school children.
Achievements
As a panchayat member, in the service of ten years, he constructed road construction, drainage, school repair and community buildings in 12 villages. After becoming MP, he launched the scheme of Smart Classroom for expansion of railway facilities in Kallakurichi region, establishing new health centers and digital education.
He started a free coaching center for the preparation of competitive examinations for the youth.
