Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and former President Rahul Gandhi will not attend the ‘Invest Karnataka 2025’ summit to be held in Bengaluru.
Party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh says that due to the ongoing discussion on the budget in Parliament, the two leaders will not be able to go to this ceremony due to being very busy. The two leaders were invited as the chief guests. There is a Congress government in Karnataka.
Ramesh posted on ‘X’, “Both the Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi are very busy due to the ongoing discussion on the budget in Parliament. So he is sorry for the inability to attend the inauguration of the Karnataka Investor Summit in Bangalore this evening.
He said, “Both the top Congress leaders have sent their best wishes for the summit and they are confident that it will be very meaningful and successful keeping in mind the unique competitive and comparative benefits of Karnataka.
Earlier there were reports that the Congress high command is angry with the state government due to inviting some Union ministers.
The ‘Invest Karnataka 2025′ Global Investors’ meeting is scheduled to be held in Bengaluru from 12 to 14 February with the theme “Remining Growth”. The event will include many top industrialists as well as some global investors.
The program is being organized by the Government of Karnataka to attract global investment in the state, to highlight its strategic benefits in promoting innovation, industrial development and global partnerships.
According to Karnataka government minister MB Patil, an investment proposal of Rs 10 lakh crore will be introduced in the three -day program with the target of realizing at least 70 percent commitments like innovation, industrial development and promotion of global participation.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the summit on February 12 in the presence of Governor Thawarchand Gehlot, while Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will preside over the inauguration session.
