Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday retaliated at Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda and said that the House, the leader who has given training to the opposition parties, needs it as his own members and ministers do not come to the House on time.
In fact, at the commencement of the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha, Deputy Chairman Harivansh was putting the necessary documents on the floor of the House. In the same sequence, he called the name of Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu to present a proposal for election for the Council of National Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management Institute. But he was not present in the House.
Members of the opposition parties objected to this and said that the absence of the minister is ‘talk of shame’. Kharge said that Leader Sadan JP Nadda had advised on Monday that Leader of Opposition and members of the opposition should be trained in the rules of the House.
He said, “I ask you. Why don’t you take training)? Your people do not come on time … Minister Gan does not even come … It is a matter of shame. ”It is noteworthy that the opposition parties created a ruckus in the Rajya Sabha on Monday on the issue of alleged rigging and delimitation of Lok Sabha seats in the voter list and after the demand for discussion on these issues on behalf of Asan was rejected from the High Sadan.
Nadda condemned the behavior of the opposition members and urged Asan to get all the members including the Leader of Opposition to the ‘refresher’ course. He had said, “We are ready for discussion. It provides for short -term discussions and also provides for long -term discussions. They (opposition) do not read the rules. ”
He asked the opposition MPs to read the rules first and learn to argue.
He said, “This is the irresponsible behavior of the opposition … in a way it is an attempt to defame Parliament and democracy.”
Leader Sadan said, “He (opposition MPs) should take a refresher course. They should understand the rules and regulations (of the House). The government is ready to discuss any issue. ”
