The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday attacked West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and said that it is running in the Lok Sabha to speak against the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha to speak against the country.
BJP leader Pradeep Bhandari told ANI, “Whenever the leaders of the Indie alliance go to foreign soil, India abuses India. Rahul Gandhi has a history of speaking against the country and now Mamata Banerjee is running on the footsteps of Rahul Gandhi. It is very clear that the leaders of Indi coalition hate the progress of the country and only believe in vote banks in communal politics. It will be rejected, whether in Bengal or in the next 2029, India wants progress.
This happened when on Thursday, Minister Mamata Banerjee faced opposition from a group of people at the Cellog College of Oxford University in London, where she was asked questions about the RG tax college case and the post -election violence in West Bengal.
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Amit Malviya, while sharing a video, claimed that the people seen in the video, who were allegedly from the Bengali Hindu community, clashed with CM Mamata Banerjee at the Calog College, London.
Amit Malviya wrote on X, “Bengali Hindus faced West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Cellog College, London, and raped women doctor in RG car, crime against women in messenger, crime against women, Hindus and blaming them for widespread corruption, raising anger.”
The BJP leader further said that Mamata Banerjee is ‘stigma’ for West Bengal. He said, “Some posters were put up against Mamata Banerjee … He is a stigma for West Bengal. Hindu Bengali migrants want to remove the legacy of Bengal and remove them from the post of Chief Minister to put them in such a slander.”
In the video posted by the BJP, the Chief Minister of West Bengal faced interruption several times, during which one of the audience raised questions about Hindus in Bengal.
Banerjee replied, “I am for everyone, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christian,” after which a section of the audience shouted slogans “go back”.
The Chief Minister addressed one of the protesters as a “brother” and said, “Please remember it … and do not do politics. It is very easy to do politics and make negative narratives here.”
In a video of the conversation posted by the Trinamool Congress, the Chief Minister replied to the protesters, saying, “You encourage me, please smile with hope that Didi will come every time, do not bother anyone, Didi don’t bother anyone, Didi walks exactly like Royal Bengal Tiger and if you can hold me if you can hold me.”
Posting the video, the Trinamool Congress said, “She (Mamta Banerjee) does not move. She does not stagger. The more you interrupt them, the fierce roar she will roar. Mamta Banerjee is a Royal Bengal Tiger!”
In a statement, U.K. In the Indian Students’ Union (SFI UK), taking responsibility for the protests, said, “SFI-UK demonstrated against Mamata Banerjee’s speech at Calog College, Oxford. SFI-UK raised her voice against Mamta Banerjee and T.M.C.
