Abhishek Banerjee, National General Secretary of Trinamool Congress and Lok Sabha MP, will represent the party in the all -party delegation who will visit various countries to make India aware of the attitude of India after Operation Sindoor.
A source said that the decision was taken by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju after meeting Trinamool supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The source claimed that Rijiju called Mamata Banerjee to “calm” and sought suggestions for her party representative in the multi -party delegation.
Explain that the Center nominated Trinamool MP and former Indian cricketer Yusuf Pathan as a member of one of the seven diplomatic delegations, who would travel to various countries to put forward India’s stand on dealing with terrorism in the backdrop of Operation Sindoor.
On Monday, both Mamta Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee said that the Center should not decide who the party nominates for the all -party delegation.
The CM of West Bengal had said, “They cannot decide the name (center). If they request the original party, the party will decide. This is the practice; this is the system; we are with the central government regarding foreign policy and we are fully supporting them.”
Banerjee had said that if the government had contacted him, the party would have sent its representative to the all -party delegation.
He said, “We did not get any request. If any request came, we could consider. We are in favor of the country. We have always supported the policy of the Center in terms of foreign affairs. We are currently supporting the views and actions of the central government. They cannot decide the name of the member according to their own. It is not their choice, it is their choice, it is the party’s choice. Or we are not going. “
In the first day, Trinamool Congress General Secretary and Diamond Harbor MP Abhishek Banerjee said that the Trinamool Congress will stand shoulder to shoulder with the Center in fighting terrorism. He said that the central government cannot unilaterally decide who will go from which party.
He said, “I don’t know where you got this information. I am saying this very clearly: Whatever decision the Central Government will take, which is to compete with terrorism to protect the national interests of the country, will stand shoulder to shoulder with the TMC Center.”
