Nahan (Himachal Pradesh), 26 February (IANS). Today, the festival of Mahashivaratri in Nahan is being celebrated with pomp and reverence. A large crowd of devotees has been thronging the pagoda of the district headquarters since morning. Devotees are bowing down in temples to see Lord Shiva. BJP state president Dr. Rajiv Bindal also reached Ranital Shivalaya in Nahan, where he offered prayers and congratulated the people on the occasion of Mahashivaratri.
Devotees continue to visit the Ranital Shiva temple from 4 am and people are reaching the temple to visit Shiva in large numbers. During this, BJP state president Dr. Rajiv Bindal congratulated the people of Mahashivratri and said that Himachal Pradesh is the land of Lord Shiva, where every particle is inhabited by Mahashiva. He said that today the festival of Mahashivaratri is being celebrated with great pomp across the state and people are seeing Lord Shiva in the pagoda.
Dr. Bindal said that Lord Shiva should provide exclusive powers and goodwill to all. He said that Lord Shiva is happy on the smallest prayer of all the devotees and blesses him. Shiva was described as welfare and Bholenath and said that every person of Himachal Pradesh is a devotee of Lord Shiva.
He said that there is a devotional atmosphere in Nahan city on this holy festival of Mahashivaratri. The atmosphere has been filled with even more devotion with the hymns and mantras echoing in temples. People are offering special worship in their homes and temples and wishing Shiva’s blessings.
BJP state president Dr. Rajiv Bindal congratulated the people of Mahashivratri on this special occasion and greeted the people of Mahashivratri. He said that this festival is not only for worshiping Lord Shiva, but it is also a symbol of our cultural and religious festivals.
