New Delhi, September 29 (IANS). BJP is continuously trying to corner Peoples Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti over her decision to call Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah a martyr and cancel the election rally in his honour.
BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said on Sunday, “When an Indian soldier is martyred while protecting our border, then Mehbooba Mufti does not feel sad, then she does not mourn, then her campaign continues, and the Hezbollah chief They are feeling very sad that there should be peace in Israel, Gaza and Russia. Our leader Narendra Modi is making all efforts for that. They are mourning like this in view of electoral politics.”
Supreme Court advocate and BJP national spokesperson Nalin Kohli said that Mehbooba Mufti will now have to answer to many things. Is she on the path of peace and harmony, will she stand for these things? Or will she stand with whatever is happening around the world regarding terrorism and violence? He said, “When Jammu and Kashmir was a state, when Article 370 was in force there, lakhs of people came under the grip of terrorism and were killed. Our soldiers were martyred there. Hindus were tortured in Jammu and Kashmir. Mehbooba Mufti If she has given such a statement, it proves that she stands with terrorism and violence.”
It is noteworthy that after the death of Hezbollah chief Nasrallah in the bombing by the Israeli army, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti in India had expressed grief. He also canceled his election rally on Sunday, calling Nasrallah a martyr.
“I am canceling my campaign tomorrow (Sunday) to show solidarity with the martyrs of Lebanon and Gaza, especially Hassan Nasrallah,” Mehbooba Mufti wrote on social media platform ‘X’. We stand with the people of Palestine and Lebanon in the hour.”
