Muzaffarnagar, October 20 (IANS). Politics is going on in Budhana area of Muzaffarnagar regarding objectionable comments made on social media against Muslim religion. Meanwhile, Minister of State (Independent Charge) in Uttar Pradesh Government, Kapil Dev Aggarwal condemned the incident on Sunday and said that those who spoil the atmosphere and miscreants will not be spared.
Kapil Dev Aggarwal told the media, “In Budhana area of Muzaffarnagar, a person has made indecent remarks against a particular religion. This incident should definitely be condemned. But the way in which they tried to create pressure by gheraoing the police station. Gai, that is completely wrong.”
Referring to the statement of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he said, “The CM has already warned that no person should make indecent remarks against any religion. But, someone protests against such statements or gheraos the police station. If someone does this then strict action will be taken against him. This matter was discussed with the SSP on Saturday night itself and instructions have been given to take action against the people who surrounded the police station. Action will also be taken.”
Kapil Dev Aggarwal appealed to the people not to take the law into their hands and assured that the administration will take action as per rules. He said that action will be taken against whoever commits a mistake and action will also be taken against those who create pressure.
The Minister of State also targeted the Samajwadi Party. He said, “Earlier, when there was SP government in the state, there was no control on criminals, but with CM Yogi in power, no miscreant will be able to spoil the atmosphere. Strict action will be taken against such people.”
Muzaffarnagar SSP Abhishek Singh said that on October 19, a person had posted a controversial post. The Muslim community had filed a complaint in this regard and after receiving the complaint, the person was immediately arrested. But, someone spread a rumor that the police had released the arrested person. After this some people gathered and tried to calm them down.
SSP Abhishek Singh said, “Police have also registered a case against those who tried to spoil the atmosphere by gheraoing the police station. Complaints have been registered against more than 500 people.”
