BJP President JP Nadda on Saturday credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for changing the country’s political culture from blame and demonstrations in the last decade.
Addressing Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Women Empowerment Conference in Jaipur, she said, “The country has changed since 2014. Today the country of 140 crore people led by PM Modi is moving forward at a fast pace.” The Union Minister said that PM Modi changed political culture and launched the “report card” politics focused on accountability, distribution and development.
He said, “Earlier leaders used to spend time in accusing each other. But today ‘report card’ is happening. Politics is happening. Accountability, performance, politics of development, this is our way of doing our work.” Referring to the appointment of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Nadda said, “He is a true ideological soldier who works day and night to convey Modi ji’s vision. Such dedicated workers were selected for the top post.”
He also targeted the previous governments and said, “You have seen how the previous governments worked and what their mindset was. Everything is in front of people. When there is a difference in the night and day, you should choose the day. This is the difference between our government and their government.” Nadda said, “Our government works to serve the people, not for selfishness.” Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje also addressed the program and praised the leadership of women in various fields.
He said, “Women are skilled in fulfilling every responsibility, whether it is rationing or running governance.” He said, “The great queen Ahilyabai Holkar has proved that the leadership qualities in women are congenital.” Raje said that the passage of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act giving 33 percent reservation to women in Parliament and state assemblies is a tribute to great women like Ahilyabai Holkar.
She said, “Women walk on the same way as men, but never complain of fatigue. She runs home and contributes tirelessly to society. Ahilyabai was a ruler who rebuilt temples from Badrinath to Rameswaram and Dwarka to Puri, including the Kashi Vishwanath temple.”
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, BJP state president Madan Rathore and Union Minister Bhagirath Chaudhary and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat were also present in the program. Later, Nadda participated in the tricolor journey organized by the BJP in Jaipur to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor.
