The Congress on Thursday sarcasted him before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir and said that he would definitely know that the terrorists responsible for the Pahalgam attack directly have not been brought to justice yet.
Prime Minister Modi will launch several development projects worth more than Rs 46,000 crore in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir on Friday and will inaugurate the world’s highest railway Arch Bridge Chenab Bridge. He will also flag the Vande Bharat trains between Katra and Srinagar.
Congress General Secretary (Communications in-charge) Jairam Ramesh said in a post on X that the Prime Minister is visiting Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow.
Ramesh said, “Surely he knows that the terrorists, directly responsible for the cruel terrorist attacks in Pahalgam on April 22, have not been brought into the dock of justice. And according to some reports, which have not been denied, these terrorists were also involved in terrorist attacks in December 2023 and in October 2023.
Last month, Ramesh cited reports that the terrorists responsible for the Pahalgam attack were also involved in the first three terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. He had said that the government should clarify on this issue.
The statement issued by the PMO said that Modi will launch several development projects at the Aadhaar camp Katra for pilgrims going to Mata Vaishno Devi temple. The statement said that he will also inaugurate the Anji Bridge, which is India’s first cable-sted rail bridge which will serve the country in a challenging area.
Other projects to be launched include 272 km long Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project.
