The Lok Sabha on Tuesday has agreed to extend the time to present the time to submit the report of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on a country, one election bill. Now the committee will submit its report by the end of the week of 2025.

Income Tax and Taxation Law Bill returned to Lok Sabha
The Rajya Sabha has returned the Income Tax Bill, 2025 and the Taxation Act (Amendment) Bill, 2025 to the Lok Sabha. During this, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said- The 1961 Act had a total of 819 sections, which are now reduced to 536. The number of chapters was 47, which has been reduced to 23. For the first time in this Act, we have included 39 new paryas and 40 new formulas in place of text details, making it easy for people to understand it.
Rijiju lashed out at opposition’s behavior
