The monsoon session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly is likely to begin on August 4. The monsoon session will be the third session of the government led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
The previous session in the Delhi Legislative Assembly, which was the budget session, was held from 24 March to 2 April, where Delhi Finance Minister Rekha Gupta presented the annual budget of Delhi’s National Capital Region (NCT) for the financial year 2025-26.
Meanwhile, the National E-Legislative Application (Neva) Training Center is providing training to MLAs on digital legislative processes before the monsoon session.
Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijendra Gupta launched the Neva Training Center and wrote on X, “The Delhi Legislative Assembly today launched the Neva Training Center with the aim of accelerating digital legislative processes. This three-day program running from July 21 to 23, 2025 will provide training to the honorable MLAs on the use and functionality of the National E-Legislative Application (Neva), so that they will be able to participate in the upcoming monsoon session.”
The X post stated, “This training will be conducted by expert instructors of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.”
Meanwhile, the monsoon session of Parliament began on Monday. On the first day of the monsoon session, the proceedings had to be postponed several times amid the opposition slogans. The proceedings of both the houses of Parliament were adjourned till 11 am amidst the demand and uproar to speak in the House of opposition leaders.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday met senior Union ministers including Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Rajnath Singh, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Nirmala Sitharaman, Kiren Rijiju and Arjun Meghwal.
Sources said that in the meeting held at Parliament House in the national capital, discussions were held regarding the probably ongoing monsoon session and decisions were taken.
According to sources, the Prime Minister was made aware of the opposition’s insistence on the discussion in the Working Council (BAC) and the statement in the House.
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will hold a meeting of the leaders of its House in Parliament at 10 am today. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss strategies for the session in the House.
