MP New Chief Secretary: The tenure of the Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh is ending on the last date of this month. Therefore, Madhya Pradesh will need a new Chief Secretary on the first date. To solve this mystery, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav remained in the Delhi court for several days. It is believed that Delhi Darbar has approved the name of Anurag Jain among the four contenders. Because Anurag Jain is the only person among the four claimants who has close relations with the Delhi court. Because he is on central deputation. However, Anurag Jain is the Secretary of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways at the Centre. There is also additional charge of housing and urban affairs. Considering the importance of his posting, there is speculation that Jain should not be released to the state. In such a situation, some people are also betting on Rajesh Rajora.
Strongest contender Rajesh Rajora
In the countdown phase of the new Chief Secretary, apart from Anurag Jain and Rajesh Rajora, the names of Md. Suleman and SN Mishra have been successful in making headlines. Along with this, Vinod Kumar and JN Kansotiya were also being said to be part of the race for Chief Secretary. Actually Mishra is a 90 batch IAS. But his tenure is till January i.e. only four months are left. In such a situation, the scope for their formation seems quite less. Secondly, if he succeeds in becoming the Chief Secretary, then Rajesh Rajora, the strongest contender of the same batch, will be superseded. Rajora is Additional Chief Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. In such a situation, the chances of them being superseeded also seem less. Rajora is just above Mishra in the batch of 90. Rajora has tenure till May 2027.
People are giving a lot of importance to his name because he is in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. It has been a tradition in Madhya Pradesh that the path to becoming Chief Secretary has opened faster for the one who has been in the office of Chief Minister. So that coordination between the Chief Secretary and the Chief Minister is better. But gradually this tradition started breaking. While the long tenure of twenty months is acting as a milestone for him, it is also becoming a noose around his neck.
Anurag Jain (MP New Chief Secretary Name Anurag Jain)
Anurag Jain is posted on central deputation. He is an officer of 89 batch. Whereas Sulemani is also from the same batch. Anurag Jain’s tenure is till August 2025. Vinod Kumar of the same batch has his service period till May and Kansotiya has his tenure till August. The current Chief Secretary is Veera Rana. She is the second woman Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh. However, the woman who became the Chief Secretary before her was thirty years ago. The Central Government has already given extension of six months to Veera Rana. Because the state government did not want the decision of selection of the new Chief Secretary to go into the hands of the Election Commission. Before this, Iqbal Singh Bains had got promotion during the tenure of Shivraj Singh. He has got this opportunity twice. Veera Rana has also been the Chief Secretary in-charge due to the decision of the Election Commission.
In such a situation, there is a strong discussion in Madhya Pradesh regarding the second extension of service for Veera Rana. But this should not be expected because after the extension of service of Veera Rana, Suleman, Vinod Kumar, Kasotiya and Mishra will remain almost in the field. New hopes will be created for Alka Upadhyay, Manoj Govil and Ashok Varnwal.
