Early life and education
Mukesh Dalal was born on 08-May-1961 in Surat, Gujarat. His father’s name is Mr. Chandrakant Dalal, mother’s name is Mrs. Bhanuben Dalal. He was married on 26-November-1987 with Mrs. Neela Dalal. They have two children a son and a daughter. He belongs to the Moda Vibhaan community, which is a reputed merchant community in Gujarat. He obtained LLB degree from VT Choksi Law College in 1988 and in 1995 from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Bachelor of Commerce and MBA (Finance). Mukesh Dalal lives in a joint family and is associated with the textile industry. His family has been active in this business for the last seven decades.
Beginning of political career
Mukesh Dalal joined BJP in 1981 and played an active role at various levels of the party. He also worked in the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and became a member of the committee of Surat District Cricket Association. He is also the owner of the textile industry, one of the major industries of Surat.
Contribution to municipal corporation
From 2005 to 2020, Mukesh Dalal was a councilor from Adajan-Palanpur region of Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC). During this, he worked as the chairman of the standing committee five times, here he contributed significantly to urban development and administration.
Organizational role and contribution to banking sector
Mukesh Dalal acted as the General Secretary of Surat BJP for three years and played an important role in strengthening the party organization. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Mukesh Dalal was nominated by the BJP from Surat.
