Mukhtar Ansari's viscera report does not confirm poison, death due to heart attack: Banda DM

Lucknow, September 16 (IANS). The viscera report has also made it clear that the death of Bahubali Mukhtar Ansari lodged in Banda jail was due to a heart attack. The DM of Banda has submitted the investigation report related to this to the government.

Banda DM Rajesh Kumar has sent the report to the government after conducting an investigation that lasted for about 5 months. The viscera report sent to Lucknow has not confirmed poisoning. Apart from CCTV footage and barrack investigation, the food test report was also studied. Statements of more than 100 people, including jail officials and doctors, were taken for its investigation.

The investigation has rejected the allegations of ‘slow poisoning’ by the family. The cause of death of Bahubali leader Mukhtar Ansari, lodged in Banda jail, was heart attack. Earlier, no kind of poison was confirmed in the post-mortem and viscera examination.

Let us tell you that mafia Mukhtar Ansari, who was lodged in Banda jail of Uttar Pradesh, died on 28 March. After this incident, the family members had made a serious allegation against the jail administration of giving ‘slow poison’. However, even then the post-mortem report confirmed death due to heart attack. After this, the viscera was sent for examination. The presence of poison was not found even in the viscera report that came on April 20.

The Uttar Pradesh government had ordered a magisterial inquiry into Mukhtar Ansari’s murder on March 29. A spokesperson of the Uttar Pradesh government had said that a three-member committee would investigate the death. Regarding this matter, Mukhtar Ansari’s son Umar Ansari had claimed that his father was given slow poison in jail.

A similar claim was also made by Mukhtar Ansari’s brother and Ghazipur MP Afzal Ansari. Before his death, Mukhtar Ansari had also filed a petition in the Barabanki court. In which it was alleged that poisonous substances were being mixed in the food served in the jail. Ansari had claimed that after eating food on March 19, he started having pain in his nerves and organs.
