MVA is seeking votes in Maharashtra in the name of Telangana government schemes: Ashok Chavan

तेलंगाना सरकार की योजनाओं के नाम पर महाराष्ट्र में वोट मांग रहा एमवीए : अशोक चव्हाण

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, 6 November (IANS). Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and BJP leader Ashok Chavan claimed NDA’s victory in the assembly elections at a press conference in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Wednesday.

Ashok Chavan said during the press conference, “The election campaign for the Maharashtra Assembly is in full swing. The condition of the Mahayuti alliance in the state is good and all the parties involved in this alliance together are working under the leadership of Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar, Devendra Fadnavis and PM Modi. We are contesting the elections. Our position is definitely very strong and people are supporting us. All the schemes we have implemented in the public interest have proved effective.”

The BJP leader targeted the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). He said, “They are seeking votes in Maharashtra on the basis of Telangana, whereas the photo of any leader from Maharashtra is not in the advertisement of Telangana government.”

Ashok Chavan raised questions on Telangana government. He said, “Many schemes of the Telangana government are on the verge of closing and they need more than Rs 33 thousand crore to waive off agricultural loans. Farmers have received only half the money and more than 16 lakh farmers are now The money has not been received till now. The Congress led Telangana government had announced to give Rs 15,000 to the farmers every year. But the Congress has not yet completed it.

He further said, “Votes are being sought in Maharashtra by giving the example of a government which has not been able to fulfill its promises till now. This is very ridiculous and funny. Maharashtra elections are based on performance, because the public asks that What did you do? Our two and a half years’ performance is in front of the people.”

BJP leader Ashok Chavan said that a fake narrative was spread in the Lok Sabha elections that if BJP comes again, the Constitution will be changed and reservation will be cancelled. But no such order has been implemented. PM Modi and BJP have made it clear that people are being misled by them by setting a fake narrative. He said, “We have never talked about changing the Constitution.”
