Nana Patole wrote a letter to the President in honor of Chief Justice Bhushan Gawai, serious allegations against Maharashtra government

Senior Maharashtra Congress leader and former Assembly Speaker Nana Patole on Tuesday wrote a passionate and tough letter to President Draupadi Murmu and made serious allegations against the Maharashtra government and its senior officials. The letter has been written in relation to the recent visit to Mumbai and ignoring the alleged protocol of the Supreme Court Chief Justice Justice Bhushan Gawai.

“Chief Justice insulted”

Nana Patole wrote that a program was organized in Mumbai to welcome Chief Justice of Supreme Court Bhushan Gawai, who is the son of Maharashtra himself and is considered the pride of Bahujan Samaj. The program was expected under the presence of Chief Secretary, Director General of Police (DGP) and Mumbai Police Commissioner at the event, but all three officers did not reach the program. In the letter, he wrote: “This is not only an administrative negligence, but also a gross insult to the honor of a constitutional position. It is extremely painful that the Chief Justice had to say in his speech that if the authorities do not feel the ability to come to the event, they should consider themselves.”

“Was this done intentionally?”

Patole also expressed doubts in his letter that such behavior was deliberately done to Justice Gawai. He wrote that Justice Gawai is a follower of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s views, and this reason has become a topic of discussion throughout Maharashtra. “It appears that the Maharashtra government has deliberately ignored the constitutional protocol. It is not just a person, but an insult to the entire Bahujan Samaj and Constitution.”

“Phule-Shahu-Ambedkar insulted”

Nana Patole called it not only Bhushan Gawai, but also an insult to historical personalities like Mahatma Phule, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. He appealed to the President not to tolerate such behavior and strict action should be taken against the guilty officers and the government. “There is a humble request to you to take strict action against the Maharashtra government and the concerned officials, realizing the seriousness of this insult, so that in future no government or officer can dare to insult a person sitting in a constitutional post.”

conclusion

This letter of Nana Patole highlights a sensitive issue, in which a constitutional post -holder – he too has fallen victim to the neglect of the state – the state. Now it will be important to see what stance on this matter President Draupadi Murmu takes and what explanation on the Maharashtra government. The debate on this issue has started in political and social circles.
