Naxalism will end from the country by 31 March 2026: Amit Shah

Neemuch, 17 April (IANS). Union Home Minister Amit Shah has once again reiterated the resolve to eradicate Naxalism from the country by 31 March 2026, as Naxalism in the country is constantly shrinking. While attending the function of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Day in Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh, Amit Shah discussed the contribution of central security forces.

He said that CRPF has made a huge contribution in freeing Naxalism. Whenever there are reports of the soldiers of the Cobra Battalion moving towards the Naxalites, the soul of the Naxalites trembles. Naxalism will end forever by 31 March 2026 from the country, this is the pledge which this country has decided on your own strength.

He paid homage to the 2,264 soldiers who sacrificed the security of the country and remembered the sacrifice and sacrifice of their families. He said that at present, about three lakh personnel are deployed in 4 zonal headquarters, 21 sector headquarters, 17 range and 39 administrative range, who are working for peace and security of the country everywhere. CRPF has the distinction of being the largest paramilitary force in the whole world, not only this country. CRPF personnel have achieved success on every front.

Referring to CRPF’s contribution to the security of the country, Union Home Minister Shah said that the Parliament House, the largest panchayat of democracy in 2001, was attacked by CRPF personnel failed. In 2005, there was a terrorist attack on Ram Janmabhoomi, the CRPF personnel did the work of canceling it and kept the temple safe. The biggest success will be written in the history of CRPF, it will be remembered for many years that it has contributed a lot in freeing this country from Naxalism.

He referred to peace restoration after the removal of Section 370 from Kashmir and said that without CRPF it was not possible that peace would be maintained in Kashmir after removing Section 370 or every election would be held very well. After the removal of Section 370 from Kashmir, when assembly elections were being held in Jammu and Kashmir, there were a lot of apprehensions, but it is proud that the CRPF and the rest of the security forces had ensured so much security that not a single booth was allowed to loot. Not a single one had to shoot. This is a very big achievement.

At the same time, in the last 10 years, Naxalite violence has decreased by more than 70 percent and it is now towards the end. CRPF has made his presence with promptness everywhere, be it the visit to Amarnath, Shri Ram Janaki security, Shri Krishna land security or Kumbh or Mahakumbh. CRPF also played a big role in many social work in maintaining law and order.
