NDA government is laying the foundation of 'developed Bihar': Vijay Sinha

Patna, 5 February (IANS). Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is visiting the state these days under ‘Pragati Yatra’. During this time they are making many announcements. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said that the Chief Minister announced 67 schemes of the Road Construction Department during his ‘Pragati Yatra’, for which an amount of Rs 7,741 crore was declared.

Vijay Sinha said in a press conference on Wednesday that the double pace of the double engine government in Bihar is now clearly visible in the cabinet meeting. Many important schemes for North Bihar have been approved by the cabinet. Among these schemes, construction of Ring Road, Bypass and Railway Over Bridge (ROB) is prominent, which will give a new direction to the infrastructure of North Bihar.

He told that we have met the target of reaching the capital Patna from any corner of the state in five to six hours. Now in the government of this double engine, work is being done to complete the target of reaching Patna from any part of the state in three and a half hours.

He said that the foundation of the upcoming developed Bihar is being laid. The Chief Minister is still going to announce many more schemes.

He also handed over appointment letters to 530 junior engineers of Road Construction Department. He said that it is a big responsibility to fulfill the announcements on these.

A total of 136 proposals were approved in a cabinet meeting chaired by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday.
