Kathmandu, May 28 (IANS). The pro -monarchy faction has announced to perform once again after two months to demand the restoration of monarchy and Hindu nation in Nepal. The performance will be held on Thursday at Ratnapark, Kathmandu.
The National Democracy Party (RPP) president Rajendra Lingden while speaking to reporters on Wednesday said that the demonstration would be completely peaceful, based on the principles of civil rules and Satyagraha. He made it clear whether the demonstration should be allowed to be allowed to be done or not, it will be done in Ratnapark itself.
Lingden said, “Our performance will not be violent. It will be completely under our control and will not go outside the ring road. The administration does not allow it, even then we will protest peacefully in Ratnapark.”
Lingden accused Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli that he was trying to obstruct his party’s program.
Lingden said, “Prime Minister Oli’s intention is clear that he wants to spread unrest on Thursday. The statement he has given is extremely objectionable. They should withdraw their statement or resign. We had announced a peaceful program in the park, but the Prime Minister’s party is calling its workers in the same area, which can create a clash situation. Journalists should report on this subject.
Various monarchy and pro -Hindu nation organizations are also united in this protest, which are demanding the restoration of the monarchy and the Hindu nation by eliminating Republic, federalness and secularism in Nepal.
Meanwhile, Kamal Thapa, president of the National Democracy Party Nepal (RPP-N), said that so far scattered and passive monarchy groups have been united.
Thapa said, “We have now moved towards unity. It is appropriate that we take concrete initiative towards ending Republic, federalness and secularism. This is an ideological battle and we have to protect our existence.”
He also suggested that if there is a consensus between the public and political parties, Hridayndra Shah, the grandson of former King Gyanendra Shah, can be made the next king of Nepal.
Thapa said, “If people have any hesitation about Gyanendra Shah, Hridayndra Shah can also be seen as an alternative. The monarchy is not the name of any one person, it is an ideology. The successor should be the same, which is from the lineage of Prithvinarayan Shah. Who will be, it should be decided by national consent.”
On March 28, violence erupted during pro -monarchy protests in Tinkun region of Kathmandu, killing two people and injured hundreds. In the violence at that time, property worth about 460 million Nepali rupees was damaged.
