'Nitish and Chandrababu Naidu's crutches to pass the Waqf bill': Asaduddin Owaisi

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi spoke on the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024 and said that the BJP does not have a majority in the Lok Sabha and if Chandrababu Naidu and Nidish Kumar opposes it, it will not be passed.

Talking to ANI, Asaduddin Owaisi said that PM Narendra Modi is dependent on the crutches of Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar. He said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is spreading lies in the country regarding the Waqf Bill.

Asaduddin Owaisi said, “Amit Shah is the Home Minister of the Government of India and his statement is proof that you are trying to enact an unconstitutional law that can be challenged in the court. It is a violation of the paragraphs of the Constitution and it will harm the Waqf of the whole country. Can challenge the tribunal in court. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is dependent on the crutches of Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu and if they do not support this unconstitutional bill, it will not be made. “

Earlier on Friday, Owaisi supported the protest by tying a black band against the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. Owaisi, a member of the Joint Parliamentary Committee formed on the Waqf Bill, on Friday, tied a black band and took part in the symbolic protest.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Friday that the Waqf Amendment Bill, on which JPC has given its report, will be introduced in the budget session of Parliament. The budget session is scheduled to end on 4 April.

He said, “No one needs to be afraid of the Waqf Bill. In 2013, the Congress -led government passed the Waqf Bill and made several provisions in it which were not in line with our constitution. Now we are trying to make the bill in accordance with constitutional principles.”

When asked about Asaduddin Owaisi by tying a black bandage, Amit Shah said that people have the right to do so. He said, “Some people do this through their clothes, some people through their words. People in Parliament protest through logic.”
