Former BJP MP Ashwini Choubey has advocated making CM Nitish Kumar the Deputy Prime Minister. He said that Nitish Kumar is working together with shoulder to shoulder, hence he should be considered eligible for the post of Deputy Prime Minister. The former MP further said that if this happens, Bihar will develop. In his statement, the former BJP MP even said that if Nitish Kumar becomes Deputy Prime Minister, it will develop Bihar, after Air Jagjivan Ram, another Deputy Prime Minister will be found from Bihar.
The opposition also asked to make the Deputy Prime Minister
After the results of Lok Sabha elections 2024, opposition parties wanted to form a government with Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. At that time the opposition offered Nitish Kumar to the Deputy Prime Minister. But then Nitish Kumar said in very clear terms that he will not go anywhere except NDA. He also said that he had gone here and there once or twice, but not now.
If we talk about the results of the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won 240 seats. Which was much lower than the 2019 results. Apart from this, the Congress won 99 seats. BJP’s ally NDA won a total of 293 seats.
