Bihar Politics: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has taken a big decision before the assembly elections, which will give a new direction to health services in rural areas of the state. The state government has announced to increase the honorarium of Asha and Mamta workers to further improve health services. This decision is being considered as an important step towards strengthening of health services especially in rural areas.
Big relief for ASHA workers
Till now, ASHA workers used to get an incentive amount of Rs 1,000 every month, but Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has increased it to Rs 3,000. This will increase the morale of ASHA workers even more, and they will do their actions with more dedication and hard work. ASHA workers play an important role in vaccination of children in rural areas, care of pregnant women and providing various health services.

Mamta workers will also get big benefit
Also, the incentive amount received by Mamta workers for every delivery has been increased. Now Mamta workers will be given an incentive amount of Rs 600 instead of Rs 300 on every delivery. This will not only increase the morale of Mamta workers, but will also help in reducing maternal and infant mortality in rural areas.
Health services strengthened in rural areas
This step has been taken by the Bihar government to further improve health services in rural areas. The hard work of Asha and Mamta workers has improved the level of health services in many villages of the state, and now this honorarium increase will improve their services.
