Kolkata, 6 April (IANS). West Bengal Trinamool Congress leader and MLA Vivek Gupta had a special conversation with news agency IANS on Saturday. During this, he expressed his opinion on the statements of BJP leaders regarding Ram Navami.
On being questioned about Ram Navami, Vivek Gupta, while wishing everyone on Hindu New Year, Eid and Ram Navami, said that Ram ji was born thousands of years ago and even today we can follow the pride of being his ideal and dignity, we can follow him, this is what we want blessings. Talking about celebrating Ramnavami as a religious festival, he described it as a source of inspiration for all classes.
On the statement of BJP leader Dilip Ghosh that “the court has to knock on the door to perform any festival or program in Bengal”, Vivek Gupta said that people have to go to court to make a fuss, people come voluntarily to do the program. He mentioned the rallies of Ramnavami for example and said that many NGOs do peace in peace with permission from the police, staying away from politics. I also take out the Ram Yatra for many years and it takes place in peace without any disturbance. There is no need to go to court to take the name of Ram, why the BJP wants to make a fuss, this is a question. “
He expressed grief over the incident of arson and sabotage in the temple in Gobardanga police station area of North 24 Parganas and said that the administration would do its work. This is a sad incident and I believe that the law and police system will punish the culprits. Mamta Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee have never promoted religion in politics or politics.
On not getting permission from the police for the Trinamool Hindi Cell in Howrah for the Ram Navami Yatra, Vivek Gupta said that we had sought permission from the police in Howrah. I had spoken to the SP Saheb and advised us to change the path of the journey. We will work with the advice of the police-administration.
