Targeting AAP on Wednesday, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that no one has the right to question the government or armed forces on the issue of national security. He said that “a father should think about his country, family and 140 crore Indians.”
In a conversation with reporters on the sidelines of a program, he said, “When there is an emergency, decisions are taken in the interest of the nation and the whole country stands with the armed forces. The Aam Aadmi Party, the BJP -led central government is questioning the consent on all military actions between India and Pakistan to stop all military operations because it is surprising that what happened that caused this incident and whether this incident happened and whether it was just after the attack.”
Gupta argued, “Anyone can say anything by watching TV sitting in air conditioned rooms. Only people standing in such circumstances can take decisions. A father has to think about his country, his family, 140 crore Indians. Nothing will happen by just giving a statement. Nobody has the right to question the government or armed forces.”
On Tuesday, his predecessor and AAP leader Atishi expressed his concern over Saturday afternoon incidents after drone and missile attacks from across the border for four days.
It was agreed between India and Pakistan to stop all military actions on Saturday, the development was first announced by US President Donald Trump, who claimed that the two countries have agreed to “complete and immediate ceasefire” after the US mediation.
However, top government sources clearly stated that the bilateral agreement is the result of direct interaction between Indian and Pakistani sides and Islamabad has “agreed to” without any pre -pre -condition, no subsequent conditions and other issues “with any relationship”.
In a video post on X, Atishi had said, “Operation Sindoor showed the bravery of our army. But after the announcement of Trump on May 10, the government confirmed the ceasefire. The country wants to know if the terrorists of Pahalgam have been caught. Is ‘Sindoor’ (symbol of married Hindu women)?”
His party’s ally and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday demanded the government to clarify what happened behind the “sudden ceasefire decisions”.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday gave a strong warning to Pakistan in a television address to the nation under his first Operation Sindoor that India would not bow down to nuclear blackmail and gave a clear message to the world: terror and business, terror and conversation cannot run simultaneously.
He said, “Operation Sindoor is India’s new policy against terrorism. We have postponed our campaign against Pakistan and the future will depend on their behavior.”
