Meanwhile, the army officer’s fiancée said in a statement on Thursday evening that police officers sexually assaulted me at Bharatpur police station on the night of September 15. Odisha Police issued a statement saying that the suspended officers include IIC Dinakrishna Mishra, SI Baislini Panda, ASI Salimai Sahu and Sagarika Rath and constable Balram Handa.
The army officer’s fiancée said that on the night of September 15, at around 1 am, when we were returning home after closing our restaurant, a car stopped us and tried to assault us. We somehow reached Bharatpur police station. There was only one woman constable sitting there. When I asked to register an FIR, she did not help me. Instead, she started abusing me. Ankita Pradhan, the fiancée of an Indian Army officer, has alleged that she was sexually harassed by police officers posted on duty in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Crime Branch has started investigation
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the Indian Army took cognizance of the incident and senior officials intervened. After this, the Major was released. At the same time, his fiancée was given a medical examination, which confirmed the assault. In this case, a 5-member team of the Crime Branch led by DSP Narendra Kumar Bohra reached Bharatpur police station to investigate the incident. The team interrogated the employees for 4 hours. However, due to the absence of any CCTV in the police station, no evidence could be collected there. At the same time, the main accused IIC Deenkrishna Mishra was also absent.
