Barhampur, 3 May (IANS). West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee is going to visit the violence affected area Murshidabad on May 6. Former state president of Congress Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary has targeted him for this visit.
Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary said, “Mamata Banerjee is going to Murshidabad. How many days after the incident, everyone is going to see it. When all the situations are becoming normal, Mamata Banerjee will try to go to Murshidabad and try to make a bundle of lies.”
He further taunted Mamta Banerjee and said, “When there were bleeding in Murshidabad, our sister was silent at that time. At that time she had other work. Somewhere she had a lot of work like the inauguration of the temple, building a temple somewhere and performing the life. When people were losing their lives, Mamata Banerjee, while not worrying, said that Mamata Banerjee, Lord Jagannath’s life was not worried.
Demanding financial assistance for the families suffering from violence, he said, “In the damage done to the people in the violence, whether it is Hindu or Muslim, someone’s house, someone lost his life, police and central force also killed. Some injured are fighting between life and death in hospital.
Demanding to conduct an inquiry into the delay of the police on the day of violence, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary said, “Our question is, why the policemen had to wait for five hours to go where the violence was taking place? Did the policemen done it on their own free will or were following the order of a leader of the ruling party? It should be investigated in detail.”
It is noteworthy that there was a demonstration against the Waqf (Amendment) Act in Murshidabad, West Bengal. The performance gradually took the form of violence, in which many people died. At the same time, opposition parties had also criticized CM Mamata Banerjee not going to Murshidabad after the accident.
