Raipur, September 21 (IANS). Politics in the state has heated up over the Kawardha incident. Congress called for a bandh in Chhattisgarh over this incident and shut down shops. State Deputy CM Arun Saw reacted to this. He said, it has been Congress’ habit to do politics on incidents.
The Deputy CM said, crime has reduced in the state. Our government is serious about law and order. Strict steps are being taken continuously. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai government has and will have a zero tolerance policy on law and order.
Whoever is found guilty in any incident, strict action will be taken against them. The government will not hesitate to take action against the culprits. Congress party should stop doing politics.
On the other hand, former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel posted on this matter on x. In the Kawardha case, when the police administration has accepted that the investigation was wrong and the arrests were also wrong, then the people who were wrongly arrested should be released, a list of who is lodged in which jail should be released, a list of who is missing should be released and a search should be conducted.
Baghel has demanded from the Chief Minister to get a judicial inquiry done of the Kawardha incident and give Rs 50 lakh compensation to the families of the deceased.
Deputy CM Arun Sao said, the state government is continuously working to ensure that the youth of Chhattisgarh get government jobs. Work will be done on the vacant posts of other departments at a fast pace. There is a need to do better in our Chhattisgarh. Roads should be good and environment friendly.
He said, we had organized Janseva Pakhwada. We also got ration cards made. The government is committed to ensure that people get ration. Fixing the law and order situation in the state is the first priority of the government. The public had rejected the Congress party in the Lok Sabha elections and the same happened in the assembly elections. Congress is still doing politics.
