Bengaluru, Sep 10 (IANS) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made a shocking revelation regarding the conspiracy to blow up the BJP state office in Bengaluru on January 22, the day of the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Now Karnataka Home Minister Gangadharaiya Parameshwara has reacted in this matter.
He said, “All we got to know was that their plan was to blow up the BJP office. The man had also done a recce of the BJP office. He went there with the device he had. He had kept it on the office’s motorcycle. Apart from this, I have no information.”
He further said, “We are not underestimating the incidents related to terrorism, these are monitored by central agencies NIA, CBI and other agencies. They monitor these activities not only in Karnataka but across the country. So the question is that we should not underestimate it.”
Let us tell you that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) made a disclosure on Monday. The NIA told how the conspirators inspired by ISIS had planned many attacks earlier as well. The plot of the conspirators also included a plan to blow up the BJP state office in Bengaluru on the day of the Ram Mandir Prana Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya. However, this plan of the conspirators failed.
The NIA said, “Accused Taha and Shazib were funded by their handlers through crypto currency, which Taha converted into fiat with the help of various Telegram based P2P platforms. Investigation further revealed that the accused had used the funds to commit various acts of violence in Bengaluru. This included a failed IED attack on the state BJP office at Malleswaram in Bengaluru on the day of the Prana Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, following which both the key accused planned the Rameswaram cafe blast.”
It is noteworthy that the National Investigation Agency on Monday filed a chargesheet against four accused in the high-profile Bengaluru Rameswaram cafe blast case. The accused have been identified as Musavir Hussain Shajib, Abdul Mathin Ahmed Taha, Maaz Munir Ahmed and Muzammil Sharif. They have been chargesheeted under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosive Substances Act. All four were arrested earlier and are currently in judicial custody in this case.
