New Delhi 21 September (IANS). Adulteration in the Prasad of Tirupati Venkateswara temple of Andhra Pradesh has been confirmed. Animal fat has been found in the ghee used to make the Prasad. Regarding this, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has raised the demand of forming Sanatan Dharma Rakshan Board. Former Delhi CM Sheila Dixit’s son and Congress leader Sandeep Dixit has reacted on Pawan Kalyan’s statement on Saturday.
Speaking to IANS, he said, “I could not understand what Pawan Kalyan meant. I want to tell him that he has just come into power. There are already laws in the country to ensure that what happened in Tirupati does not happen anywhere else. There are laws to prevent adulteration of food items. The government is his, he should ensure that such incidents do not happen anywhere else.”
Regarding the formation of a separate board, he said that whatever he does in his state is his job, but there is a normal law for this. If you implement the normal laws properly, then such incidents will not happen. There is a food act, there are food inspectors. They investigate it. There are big laboratories for investigation. There is no need to form a new board for this. He has recently become the Deputy Chief Minister. I request Pawan Kalyan ji to tell his government to implement the normal laws smoothly, then 99 percent of such incidents will not happen.
Sandeep Dixit, while talking to IANS a few days ago, said that this is a very shocking news. The faith of crores of Indians is associated with Tirupati temple. Devotees get to see God in the Prasad there. In such a situation, adulteration in the Prasad is very unfortunate. The matter should be investigated, where did this adulteration happen? Who is behind this? Only then will the whole matter be revealed. Such incidents show the failure of the government.
