Gorakhpur, October 12 (IANS). The rituals of Vijayadashami festival started in Gorakhnath temple on Saturday morning with the special worship ritual of Shrinath ji (Shivavatar Guru Gorakshanath). Following the tradition of Nathpanth, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, dressed in the special attire of Gorakshpeethadhishwar, worshiped Shrinath ji as per the rituals. After that, special worship was done to all the deities established in Gorakhnath temple.
On the morning of Vijayadashami, Gorakshpeethadhishwar worshiped Mother Jagatjanani in the Shaktipeeth of the temple and after that he went to the sanctum sanctorum of Gorakhnath temple and presented himself before Mahayogi Gorakhnath ji. He performed special puja in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple and performed the aarti of Guru Gorakhnath ji. On this occasion, he also performed special worship of all the deities established in the temple. Gorakshpeethadhishwar bowed down and circumambulated Shrinath ji and all the deities and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and welfare of the people of the state. During this time, the entire temple complex remained in a state of devotion due to the sound of Nathpanth’s traditional special musical instruments, Nagfani, Conch, Dhol, Ghant and Damru.
Let it be known that Gorakhpeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath has started the special worship of Guru Shri Gorakshanath in the morning. Now the procession will conclude at Mansarovar Ramlila Maidan, where CM Yogi will worship and coronate Lord Shri Ram.
The victory procession of Gorakshpeeth on Vijayadashami, which strengthens the fabric of social harmony, is unique. Not only do people from every section participate in the traditional procession, people from minority communities are also welcomed in this procession.
