New Delhi, September 19 (IANS). Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has reacted to the opposition’s allegations regarding One Nation, One Election. He called it useless and talked about a ‘funda’ which has the ‘support of Pakistan’!
BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi retorted to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge calling One Nation One Election impractical, saying that he is talking nonsense. These are being said by those who do not know the resolve power of PM Narendra Modi. These are the same people who used to say how will the new Parliament be built? It is impractical, but the Parliament was built. These people used to say how can Rajpath become the path of duty? It became so. How can Raisina become a place for public welfare? It became so. Ram Mandir was built. There are many such heritages which they called impractical but they became practical on the ground.
He further said that ‘one country and one election’ is the need of the hour, besides, most of the political parties, government, administration, political parties, all keep going round the election maze and election gatherings all the year round. Due to which the resources of the country are wasted immensely. At the same time, the development work also gets hampered. I believe that on one hand, with one country and one election, the democracy of the country will be strengthened, while on the other hand, the passion and enthusiasm of the voters of the country will be strengthened.
Targeting the opposition in view of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, he said that their ‘Gupkar Agenda’ had come. Which was full of Congress’s agenda, ‘Gupkar Agenda’ and ‘Congress’s Funda’ had Pakistan’s support. At that time, when separatists and terrorists were hurt, the screams came from Pakistan as well as the leaders of the Gupkar alliance. Therefore, the thinking of such people has been exposed.
