Meanwhile, Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence on the claims of repeated “ceasefire” by US President Donald Trump.
He said that reality cannot be turned away from, and the whole world knows that Trump has announced a “ceasefire” between India and Pakistan.
Gandhi told reporters, “How can the Prime Minister make a statement? What will the PM say that Trump has done? (What would he say? Can Trump announce it? He cannot say this, but it is true. It is true. The whole world knows that Trump has declared a ceasefire. We cannot hide from reality.”
He said, “It is not just a ceasefire. There are many big issues related to defense, defense manufacturing and operation vermilion that we would like to discuss. The situation is not normal; the whole country knows.”
Gandhi said that Prime Minister has not been able to react to Trump’s claims of the ceasefire, which he has repeated 25 times so far.
The Congress MP said, “Those who call themselves ‘patriots’ have fled.
Gandhi said, “He has destroyed our foreign policy. You cannot even count on the fingers that how many countries have supported us. Nobody has supported us.”
The statement came after Donald Trump’s recent statement, in which he reiterated his claim of “stopping war between India and Pakistan” in the name of trade deals.
