New Delhi, January 27 (IANS). The Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) met on Monday on the Waqf Amendment Act. In this meeting, the amendments of NDA MPs led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were accepted, while the opposition’s amendments were rejected. Congress leader Imran Masood has expressed a strong reaction on this. Apart from this, he also expressed his views on implementing UCC in Uttarakhand.
The Congress leader spoke to IANS and answered several questions. JPC meeting was held today regarding Waqf. All the opposition’s amendments were rejected. On this, Congress leader Imran Masood said that this is truly a loss of traditions. It never happens that you will suppress your opposition on the basis of numerical strength. This was the biggest organization of Muslims along with the Muslims living inside the country, you destroyed it on the basis of numerical strength. We will fight in Parliament and court. We will not allow the government to flout the Constitution. We will not allow the rights given to us by the Constitution to be violated.
UCC has come into effect in Uttarakhand from today. On this he said that I don’t know which UCC will do what, I don’t understand this. Recently someone asked me about live-in relationship registration. He said whether Sanatan culture allows live-in relationship? This is not allowed even in Islam. Live-in relationship is not a part of our culture.
Batenge to Katenge has entered Delhi elections also. Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said in Karawal Nagar that people whose hands are stained with blood should not vote. On this the Congress leader said that yes of course, those whose hands are stained with blood should not vote. One should not even listen to those who have blood on their hands. The walls of Sambhal are screaming that I have been shot in the chest.
Rahul Gandhi is not seen in the election campaign. On this he said that the blame for why it is not raining and why there is fog is also on Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi is blamed for everything. It has been ten years since you have been running the government, is there anything in your control or not, or is all the work in the responsibility of Rahul Gandhi. Try doing some work.
