ISI agent Shahzad, arrested by Uttar Pradesh ATS, has been sent to 14 days judicial custody. He was produced in the court of ADG 2 in Lucknow, from where he was sent to jail. He was arrested from Moradabad on charges of spying for ISI. He was in touch with Pakistan for a long time and was transporting secret information related to the security of the country under the guise of smuggling.
The UP ATS received information from its trusted sources that a person is smuggling the Indo-Pakistan border illegally smuggling cosmetics, spices, clothes and other items. Investigation also revealed that he had the patronage of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI and is actively involved in anti -national activities. After the confirmation of the information, the ATS formed a special team and started monitoring the accused.
During this period, the activities of Shahzad were thoroughly investigated through technical and physical surveillance. After this, his involvement in espionage became clear. Shahzad has gone to Pakistan several times. His aim was to meet ISI agents and get instructions from them and to deliver smuggling goods. Investigation also revealed that he had also shared confidential information related to India’s military and security.
Shahzad used to provide Indian SIM cards to Pakistani agents so that they could run spy activities in India. He also provided financial assistance to his agents in India at the behest of ISI. He has also been involved in a conspiracy to smuggle people from many parts of Uttar Pradesh including Rampur. Visa and travel documents for these people were prepared by ISI agents.
The Uttar Pradesh Police had registered a case against the accused Shahzad under sections 148 and 152 of Bhadansan. This arrest has exposed not only a detective of a detective network established by ISI in India. Security agencies are now investigating all those who may be connected to this network. ISI detectives are constantly being arrested from various places across the country.
