New Delhi, Sep 19 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday gave his first reaction to the statement made by Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif.
PM Modi while addressing a rally in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir said that Pakistan’s Defence Minister has openly supported the Congress-National Conference. The agenda of Congress and NC on Article 370 is the same as that of Pakistan i.e. Pakistan itself has exposed the Congress-National Conference.
Prime Minister Modi said, “There may not be enthusiasm in Jammu and Kashmir about Congress-National Conference, but the neighbouring country (Pakistan) is very enthusiastic about them. The alliance of Congress-National Conference is being celebrated in Pakistan. Pakistan is very impressed with their manifesto. Pakistan is very happy with their manifesto, Pakistan’s Defense Minister has openly supported Congress-National Conference. He says that the agenda of Congress and NC regarding Article 370 and 35A is the same as Pakistan’s agenda, that is, Pakistan itself has exposed the Congress-National Conference.”
He further said that Congress-National Conference want to implement Pakistan’s agenda here. The agenda of Pakistan which ruined generations of Jammu and Kashmir, made us shed our blood. These people want to implement the same here again. Congress-NC want to do the same work here, which used to suit the master of terror Pakistan, but today Modi is telling Congress-National Conference loudly that we will not let Pakistan’s agenda be implemented in Jammu and Kashmir. No power in the world can bring back Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Actually, a video of Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and senior journalist Hamid Mir is going viral on social media platforms, in which Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has given such a statement regarding Article 370, on which Congress and National Conference have come under the target of BJP. In this video, Pakistan’s Defense Minister said in an interview to Geo TV that Pakistan is with Congress-National Conference on the restoration of Article 370.
PM Modi said that some time ago there was a cowardly attack on the devotees of Mata here. I salute Vijay Kumar ji, he gave his life to save the devotees in Shivkheri. This spirit inspires us. Ever since the wall of Article 370 has been broken, terrorism and separatism are continuously weakening. Jammu Kashmir has moved towards permanent peace. With the cooperation of all of you, Jammu Kashmir will be completely free from terrorism.
Targeting the opposition, he said that you know more than me how Congress, National Conference and PDP have treated Reasi and Udhampur step-motherly. Chenab Bridge was approved during Atal Ji’s government, but Congress and National Conference suppressed the file. You handed over this work to Modi, BJP, today this magnificent bridge has become a centre of attraction along with convenience.
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had also written on the social media platform X on the statement of Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, “Pakistan’s Defense Minister’s statement about Congress and JKNC’s support on Article 370 and 35 (A) has once again exposed the Congress. This statement has once again made it clear that the intentions and agenda of Congress and Pakistan are the same. For the last few years, Rahul Gandhi has been standing with every anti-India force, hurting the sentiments of the countrymen.”
