Due to the uproar of the opposition, no action could be taken in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha houses for the fourth consecutive day. Opposition MPs demanded the withdrawal of the special intensive revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar and raised slogans like “Mr. Back”.
As soon as the proceedings of the House started on the fourth day of the monsoon session, members of the opposition parties started creating uproar. Opposition MPs reached near the posture and shouted slogans and waved placards, on which anti -SIR slogans were written.
The Lok Sabha proceedings were postponed within a few minutes of the resumption of the opposition’s uproar. Thursday’s developments remained the same as the first three days of the session, when the proceedings of the House were disrupted by the protests demanding a special intensive revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar, and the demand for discussion on Operation Sindoor in Pahalgam.
However, the matter now seems to be moving towards a decisive turn. The Hindu has come to know that the Rajya Sabha’s Working Council Committee has agreed to discuss the subject of 16 hours next week, according to the decision taken in the Lok Sabha.
