The new Lok Sabha members proposed in the committee include BJP’s Baijayant Panda and Sanjay Jaiswal, SP’s Chhote Lal, Shiv Sena’s (UBT) Anil Desai, LJP’s Shambhavi and CPI(M). Radhakrishnan’s name is included.
The committee will examine two bills including the “One Nation One Election” bill and a Constitution Amendment Bill. Apart from former Union ministers Anurag Thakur and P.P. Chaudhary, BJP’s Bhartrihari Mahatab and Congress’s Priyanka Gandhi are also among the Lok Sabha members proposed for the committee.
Of the Lok Sabha members, 17 are from the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance, including 12 from the BJP.
