New Delhi, December 26 (IANS). Delhi Assembly elections are to be held in early 2025, although the dates have not been announced yet. But, the political temperature of the state has increased due to Delhi Assembly elections. Political parties have started announcing the names of candidates before the announcement of elections. In such a situation, like the previous elections, the discussion about New Delhi Assembly seat is in full swing in this assembly elections also.
In fact, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will once again contest from this seat on behalf of Aam Aadmi Party. Kejriwal has won elections from here thrice. With the intention of winning the elections for the fourth time, he recently announced ‘Mahila Samman Yojana’ and ‘Sanjeevani Yojana’. Since then, Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers have been visiting different assembly constituencies among the people and registering people under these schemes.
In such a situation, IANS talked to the people living in the slum located in Princess Park of New Delhi Assembly constituency. People said that AAP leaders and workers go away by making false promises and claims to get votes. But, today no work is being done to solve the water problem here.
An elderly woman living here said that if elections are coming, now people of Aam Aadmi Party will come to ask for votes. There is no water here. Everyone comes to ask for votes. But, no one pays attention to this. Regarding Mahila Samman Yojana, he said that giving Rs 2100 is just a false propaganda. Today, under their government, treatment is not available in hospitals.
A resident said that there is a problem of water and sanitation here. Water connection is not provided in the house. Have to go outside for water. Kejriwal had promised to clean Yamuna five years ago. It was not completed and once again they are demanding five years for cleaning Yamuna. They are talking about giving money to 2100 women. But, why were women not given Rs 2100 in the last 10 years of the government?
A woman has said that on Wednesday people from Delhi government had come to register under Mahila Samman Yojana. It was not told when the money would be received.
Local people said that water lines were laid. But, water connections were not provided to the houses.
