Bihar Election 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Bihar for the first time after Operation Sindoor. This tour is considered very important in political terms. The special thing is that this time the Prime Minister is going to hold his public meeting in Shahabad region, which is considered a sensitive and strategically important area in Bihar politics.

According to media reports, the Prime Minister can address a big rally on May 30 in Bikramganj in Rohtas district. Although the program has not been officially confirmed yet, the preparations are going on loudly. This public meeting is being seen as the beginning of deciding the strategy of the upcoming assembly elections.

NDA’s weak performance in Shahabad in last election

In the last Lok Sabha election, NDA had to face a crushing defeat in Shahabad and its adjoining areas. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Buxar, Congress in Sasaram, and leftist parties in Ara and Karakat had won. Even Aurangabad, who was traditionally considered to be the BJP’s seat, had gone out of the NDA’s hand.

For these reasons, it is believed that this visit of PM Modi is not only an attempt to help the neglected areas but also an attempt to get the lost land there.

PM Modi will address a public meeting for the first time after Operation Sindoor

PM Modi gave a strict warning to Pakistan after a rally in Madhubani after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. After this incident, Operation Sindoor was carried out. Now after this successful military action, the Prime Minister’s visit to Bihar is being considered a more strategic message than a coincidence.

NDA changed strategy

Out of 22 seats in Shahabad in the 2020 assembly elections, only two NDA had gone to the NDA, while JDU could not win a single seat. The Grand Alliance won 19 seats and got one seat to Bahujan Samaj Party, whose MLA Jama Khan later joined JDU. Not only this, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, NDA gained on only 26 out of 68 assembly constituencies of Shahabad and Magadha, while the opposition grand alliance won 42.

Trying to prepare electoral land with development promises

The Prime Minister’s visit is also being linked to the announcements of development projects. According to sources, PM Modi can lay the foundation stone of Patna-Sasaram Fourlane, new terminal of Bihta Airport, new terminal of Patna and 600 MW power plant in Nabinagar. Through these projects, the message of development will be conveyed to the public on one side, on the other hand there will be an attempt to strengthen the political hold of BJP and NDA.

Modi’s popularity bets on Modi’s popularity

All the constituents of NDA are very excited about this tour. BJP’s strategists believe that the presence of PM Modi will increase public confidence and this will strengthen the NDA in the upcoming assembly elections. After the tremors found in 2020 and 2024, the NDA is now preparing to enter the field with full vigor. The defeat on seats like Ara, Sasaram and Karakat has warned the alliance and this visit of PM Modi is being seen as a big political move in response to this warning.
