The Prime Minister said that this time the assembly elections of Jammu and Kashmir are between three families and the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. One family is of Congress… one family is of National Conference… one family is of PDP. The Prime Minister said that what these three families have done together with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. This is no less than a sin.
Addressing the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime Minister said that I want every youth to get good education. In the last few years, the BJP government has built many schools and colleges in Jammu and Kashmir. The BJP government has fulfilled the aspiration of a medical college in Doda. He said that terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is now on its last legs. The change that has come here in the last 10 years is no less than a dream. The stones that were raised to throw at the police and the army are now being used to build a new Jammu and Kashmir.
Targeting the opposition parties, the Prime Minister said that these days these people keep the Constitution in their pockets. They are pretending to hide their black deeds.’ Every child in Jammu and Kashmir knows what the reality is. These people had destroyed the spirit of the Constitution made by Baba Saheb. Otherwise what was the reason that there were two Constitutions in our Jammu and Kashmir. Why did the people here not get the rights that they got in the rest of the country? What is the reason that our hill brothers and sisters did not get reservation for so many years? In Jammu and Kashmir, they did not even take the name of Dalits, tribals and backward people.
PM’s retort on Kharge’s statement
PM Modi said that after so many generations, the BJP government has given them reservation. Today there are many friends who have got the right to vote for the first time. The Constitution of India gives the right to vote to everyone. But those who kept the Constitution in their pocket had snatched the right to vote from some people of Aam Aadmi Party for 75 years. The Prime Minister said that what is the thinking and intention of the Congress is also clear from the words of its president. He comes here and says that if we get 20 more seats, then all BJP leaders including Modi will be in jail. Is this their agenda?
BJP will give full statehood status
Addressing the crowd in Doda, the PM said that the BJP government will also do the work of giving full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. But you have to be cautious of such people who are snatching your rights for their selfishness. The priority of the BJP is to protect the rights of any person living in Jammu and Kashmir, irrespective of his religion or class. The resolve of the BJP and you will make Jammu and Kashmir peaceful, safe and prosperous. This is Modi’s guarantee.
The Prime Minister said that in the past few years, a new era of development has come in Jammu and Kashmir. The credit for this goes to the youth here. Today, I salute the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, whether they are daughters or sons, for their passion and enthusiasm.
The Prime Minister said that after coming to power in 2014, I tried to bring forward a new leadership of youth in Jammu and Kashmir. Panchayat elections were held here in 2018, BDC elections were held in 2019 and DDC elections were held for the first time in 2020. These elections were held so that democracy reaches the grassroots level in Jammu and Kashmir.
