New Delhi, October 15 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
Apart from this, PM also inaugurated the eighth edition of India Mobile Congress (IMC). India Mobile Congress 2024 will provide information about many latest innovations, updates on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and 6G development etc. Telecom stakeholders were also present during this period.
WTSA is an important meeting that sets telecommunication standards around the world. It is one of the main conferences of the International Telecommunication Union, held every four years. ITU-WTSA is being organized for the first time in India and Asia-Pacific. It is an important global event that is going to bring together over 3,000 industry leaders, policy-makers and technology experts from over 190 countries on one platform.
WTSA 2024 is providing a platform for countries to discuss and decide on the future of standards of next generation critical technologies like 6G, AI, IoT, Big Data, Cyber Security etc. Hosting the event in India will provide an opportunity for the country to play an important role in shaping the global telecom agenda and setting the direction for future technologies. Through this, Indian startups and research institutes are set to gain valuable insights into developing intellectual property rights and standard essential patents.
India Mobile Congress 2024 will showcase India’s innovation ecosystem as leading telcos and innovators highlight advances in quantum technology and circular economy. Additionally, the 6G, 5G use-case showcase will also highlight 6G, 5G use-case showcase, cloud and edge computing, IoT, semiconductor, cyber security, green tech, satcom and electronics manufacturing.
India Mobile Congress, Asia’s largest digital technology platform, is a globally renowned platform to showcase innovative solutions, services and cutting-edge use cases to industry, government, academia, startups and other key stakeholders in the telecom sector ecosystem including technology. The stage has been built. India Mobile Congress 2024 will see participation from over 400 exhibitors, around 900 startups and over 120 countries. The event aims to showcase over 900 technology use scenarios, organize over 100 sessions and discussions featuring over 600 global and Indian speakers.
