PM Modi reprimanded Pakistan from the G-7 conference, said- 'If you support terrorism, you will have to pay the price'

At the G7 Summit, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi clarified the country’s stand against terrorism and indirectly reprimanded Pakistan. He urged him to accelerate global action against terrorism and stressed the need for strict action against those who “promote and support” it.

In his address at the G7 Outreach session in Canada on Tuesday (local time), the Prime Minister emphasized that countries supporting terrorism should be held accountable.

He said, “Our thinking and policy should be clear for global peace and prosperity – if a country supports terrorism, it will have to pay its price. On one hand, we are ready to impose all kinds of restrictions on the basis of our priorities. On the other hand, the countries that openly support terrorism are rewarded.”

Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said in a post, “The Prime Minister reiterated India’s stand against terrorism and thanked the leaders for condemning the Pahalgam terrorist attack. He urged them to accelerate global action against terrorism and negotiated the need to take strict action against those who promote and support terrorism.”

26 people were killed in an attack on 22 April in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In response, India started Operation Sindoor, in which the terrorist structure was targeted in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir.

During his address, the Prime Minister also called for focus on the concerns and priorities of the global South. He said that India considers it its responsibility to bring the voice of the global South on the world stage.

Modi said, “India has chosen the path of inclusive development, moving forward on the basic principles of availability, access, strength and acceptance.”

According to Jaiswal, in his address, he highlighted the need to ensure energy security for all through a durable and green route and explained in detail for this purpose India’s global initiatives such as international solar alliances, alliances for anti -disaster infrastructure and global biofuel coalition.

Modi said, “AI itself is an energy-intensive technology. If there is any way to fulfill the energy needs of technology-operated society permanently, it is only through renewable energy. The last century was a competition for energy in the last century, however in this century” we have to cooperate for technology “.

Modi also highlighted India’s experience and its human-centered approach to make the use of technology democratic.

“He called for a focus on global rule issues to deal with AI’s concerns and promote innovation in the region,” said a spokesman for the Ministry of External Affairs.

Modi said in his address, “Deep-fake is a matter of great concern. Therefore, a water-mocking or clear announcement should be made on AI-birthted content.”

Earlier, the Prime Minister said that he had a “productive” discussion on major global challenges with the G-7 leaders and shared aspirations for the better planet.

Modi posted a picture on X on X with a group leaders of seven countries and people invited to the G-7 summit in Kananaskis. He said in the post, “Together for global progress! Producer exchange with G7 leaders on major global challenges and shared aspirations for better planets.”

In a separate post, Jaiswal said, “Group commitment to deal with global challenges and promote shared values.”

He attached the picture of the same group, saying, “Prime Minister @Narendra Modi with leaders and invited partners of @G7 countries.”

Earlier, when he arrived here for the G7 outreach session, Modi was welcomed by his Canadian counterpart Mark Carney. Significantly, this is his first Canadian visit to a decade. Earlier, the Prime Minister had said that he would discuss important global issues during the meeting with world leaders at the G-7 summit and emphasize the priorities of the global South.
